Motorists Warned of Upcoming Road Closures on the M50 near Ross-on-Wye

Ross-on-Wye, UK – August 15, 2023:

National Highways has announced upcoming road closures on the M50 motorway near Ross-on-Wye later this month, affecting motorists traveling through the area. The closures are scheduled to take place on the following dates: *

Night of August 28-29:

M50 southbound closed between Junction 2 (Tewkesbury) and Junction 3 (Ross-on-Wye). *

Night of August 29-30:

M50 northbound closed between Junction 3 (Ross-on-Wye) and Junction 2 (Tewkesbury). Both closures will be in place from 9 pm to 6 am on the specified nights. The closures are necessary as part of National Highways’ ongoing bridge maintenance program. Crews will be carrying out essential repair work on the bridge over the River Wye. During the closures, a diversion route will be in place via the A40 and A49. Motorists are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and to avoid the affected area during the closure periods. National Highways is advising motorists of upcoming overnight road closures on the M50 motorway near Ross-on-Wye later this month. The closures are necessary to carry out essential maintenance work on the motorway bridge over the River Wye. The closures will take place on the following dates: *

Monday 23 May to Friday 27 May

between 8pm and 6am each night *

Monday 30 May to Friday 3 June

between 8pm and 6am each night During the closures, the M50 will be closed in both directions between junctions 3 (Whitchurch) and 4 (Ross East). Diversions will be in place via the A40 and A449.
