Alleged DUI Driver Crashes into Lauderhill Business
LAUDERHILL, Fla. (NBC 6) – A suspected drunk driver crashed into a business in Lauderhill early Tuesday morning. The crash happened just before 4 a.m. at the One Way Market on Northwest 31st Avenue. According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, the driver of a Toyota Camry lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the front of the business. The driver, identified as 24-year-old Nicholas Bello, was transported to Broward Health Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Deputies said Bello showed signs of impairment and was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI). The business sustained significant damage to its front entrance. No other injuries were reported. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.

– On February 22, 2023, an alleged drunk driver crashed into a business in Lauderhill, Florida. According to NBC 6 South Florida, the incident occurred at approximately 1:30 AM when a white sedan drove into the front entrance of the Family Dollar store located at 3501 North State Road 7. Witnesses reported that the driver, later identified as 23-year-old Michael Grant, appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. He was found slumped over the steering wheel and had to be extracted from the vehicle by Lauderhill Fire Rescue. Grant was transported to Broward Health Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Police on scene conducted a field sobriety test and determined that Grant was impaired. He was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence (DUI). The Family Dollar store sustained significant damage to its front entrance and windows. No other injuries were reported.
