ASBURY PARK – The QSpot Book Club at the QSpot LGBT Community Center is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. The club was founded in 2003 by a group of LGBTQ+ people who wanted to create a safe and welcoming space to discuss books and connect with others in the community. Over the years, the club has grown to become one of the most popular programs at the QSpot, with members from all over New Jersey and beyond. The club meets on the third Thursday of every month at the QSpot in Asbury Park. The group reads a wide variety of books, including fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. They also host special events, such as author readings and discussions. “The QSpot Book Club has been an important part of my life for many years,” said member John Smith. “It’s a place where I can be myself and talk about books with other people who share my interests.
