Categories and Eligibility
The competition is open to all residents of Barnsley, including: *
Front Garden:
For gardens that grace the front of the property and enhance the overall streetscape *
Back Garden:
For gardens located behind the property, offering a sanctuary of tranquility and nature *
Community Garden:
For gardens maintained by community groups, bringing people together through the shared love of gardening *
Special Recognition (Container or Balcony):
For those with limited space, showcasing creativity and horticultural skills in containers or on balconies
Judging Criteria

The Barnsley in Bloom competition is open to all residents regardless of the size or type of their garden and applications should be in by Monday, May 16. Anyone wanting to enter should do so via the council website or by collecting an application form from the Town Hall or any of the borough’s libraries.
