Joshua Kimmich added the icing on the cake with a stunning free-kick in stoppage time. The victory extends Bayern’s lead at the top of the Bundesliga table to nine points, with second-placed Union Berlin yet to play this weekend. It was Bayern’s 10th consecutive win in all competitions and their 15th in the league this season. “I’m very pleased with the performance. We were very dominant and created many chances,” said Bayern manager Julian Nagelsmann after the match. “We’re in good form and we want to continue this run.” Werder Bremen manager Ole Werner was disappointed with the result but admitted that Bayern were simply too strong on the day. “We didn’t play well enough. Bayern are a top team and they deserved to win,” he said.
