, 85, of Carmichael, California, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Jeanne was born in Fresno, California, on June 25, 1937, to John and Helen Sensintaffar. She graduated from Clovis High School in 1955 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from California State University, Fresno. Jeanne dedicated her life to teaching and inspiring young minds. She taught elementary school for over 30 years, most notably at San Juan Elementary School in Carmichael. Her passion for education extended beyond the classroom as she served as President of the Carmichael Teachers’ Association and was active in the California Teachers Association. Outside of her teaching career, Jeanne was an avid traveler. She explored countless destinations around the world, immersing herself in different cultures and making lifelong friends along the way. Jeanne will be lovingly remembered for her unwavering kindness, generosity, and infectious smile. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who always put others before herself. Jeanne is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Robert Sensintaffar; her children, Kathleen Sensintaffar and David Sensintaffar (Kristi); her grandchildren, Amanda, William, and Connor; and her sister, Janet Miller. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at 1:00 PM at the Carmichael Presbyterian Church, 5645 Marconi Avenue, Carmichael, CA 95608.
