The Winchester Fish and Game Club is hosting its annual Youth Fishing Day on Saturday, June 10th, at the club’s private lake. The event is free and open to children ages 5 to 15. “This is a great opportunity for kids to learn about fishing and have some fun outdoors,” said club president John Smith. “We’ll have all the equipment they need, and we’ll be there to help them every step of the way.” The event will run from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and participants are encouraged to arrive early to register. There will be a brief orientation on fishing basics and safety, followed by fishing on the lake. All participants will receive a free hot dog lunch and a goodie bag with a rod, reel, and tackle. “We hope as many kids as possible can come out and enjoy this event,” said Smith. “Fishing is a great way to get kids connected with nature and learn about conservation.” The Winchester Fish and Game Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting fishing, hunting, and other outdoor activities. The club offers a variety of programs for youth and adults, including fishing tournaments, hunter safety courses, and archery lessons.
