‘Anger, not Polarization Behind Congress Show in Rajasthan’: Govind Singh Dotasra, Rajasthan PCC Chief

Jaipur, Rajasthan

– The recent show of strength by the Congress party in Rajasthan, which saw a massive gathering of party workers, has been attributed to the people’s anger against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) rather than polarization, according to Rajasthan PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasra. Speaking to reporters on Sunday, Dotasra said, “The huge turnout at the Congress rally was not due to polarization, but because people are angry with the BJP government.” He added that the BJP’s policies have caused immense hardship to the people of Rajasthan, especially farmers and laborers. Dotasra highlighted the rising unemployment, inflation, and communal tensions under the BJP rule. He said, “The BJP is trying to divide people and create polarization, but the people of Rajasthan will not fall for their tactics.” He further stated that the Congress party stands for unity and harmony, and it is committed to working for the welfare of all sections of society. “We will fight against the BJP’s divisive agenda and ensure that the people of Rajasthan get the justice they deserve,” Dotasra said. The Congress rally, held on Saturday in Jaipur, saw a large number of party workers and supporters in attendance. It was organized to mark the conclusion of the party’s statewide “Bharat Jodo Yatra” and to protest against the BJP government’s policies. The BJP, on the other hand, has accused the Congress of trying to polarize the society by playing the caste card. BJP state president Satish Poonia said that the Congress gathering was an attempt to create communal and caste divide. However, Dotasra dismissed these allegations as baseless and asserted that the Congress party believes in the principle of unity and equality. He said, “We will not allow the BJP to divide the people of Rajasthan on caste or communal lines.” The Congress’s show of strength in Rajasthan is seen as a sign of the party’s resurgence in the state. The party has been out of power in Rajasthan since 2013, but the recent rally has given it hope of making a comeback in the next Assembly elections, scheduled for 2023.
