What is the AKC Eddy Award?
The AKC Eddy Award was established in 2014 in honor of the late Dr. Bruce Eddy, a renowned geneticist and breeder. Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the AKC Eddy Award, applicants must: * Be individuals or organizations with a minimum of 5 years of experience in breeder education. * Have made significant contributions to breeder education through programs, initiatives, or publications. * Demonstrate a commitment to ethical breeding practices and breed preservation. * Have a strong reputation within the breeding community.
Submission Process
Applications for the AKC Eddy Award must include the following: * A nomination letter outlining the applicant’s accomplishments in breeder education. * Supporting documentation, such as syllabi, curricula, or published articles. * Letters of recommendation from individuals within the breeding community.
