Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has responded to his critics who advise him to leave the Premier League next summer.
Casemiro’s second season at United was very difficult, and after the recent 4-0 defeat by Crystal Palace, Sky Sports expert Jamie Carragher said that the 32-year-old Brazilian is no longer pulling the Premier League level.
Carragher advised Casemiro to go to Saudi Arabia or the MLS, but the ex-Real Madrid player is sure that he is being written off early.
“I feel very, very good. I’m really good, I feel healthy, I have the same energy and the same attitude as I always have. I suppose in the end people point to age as a factor, but it has been proven that this is not a problem. Recently, Tiago Silva, our friend, proved that you can play here at the age of 39. And the last owner of the Golden Ball was 34.”
“Manchester City have Kevin De Bruyne. Liverpool have Salah. I think age is not a problem, not a factor. It is impossible to analyze one match and understand everything that is happening.”
“There are people who analyze football well, who see what’s going on, and they don’t analyze age. But I feel good, I’m happy, I live every day to play here. As I usually say, Manchester United gave me what I wanted. I mean the pleasure of the game, the pleasure of the Premier League. That’s why I’m happy to be at Manchester United and enjoy the game,” Casemiro told Sky Sports.
