Хосеп Гвардиола Manchester City manager Josep Guardiola has hinted that next season could be his last at the club.

The day before, City won a landslide 3-1 victory over West Ham, thanks to which they finished in first place in the Premier League and won their fourth title in a row.

Guardiola, who has one year left on his contract, feels he has enough strength for next season, but Josep cannot say what will happen next.

“After that season with the (Champions League) final in Istanbul, I said to myself: “This is the end, I’m completely exhausted.” But I have a contract and I’m still here. At some moments I felt a little tired, but at other moments I loved it and we won matches looking good with new players. Then I started thinking about something that no one had ever done before: four titles in a row. Why not try? Now I feel that the job is done, but what’s next? The FA Cup. Gary Lineker told me that no team has ever won the Premier League with the FA Cup twice in a row.”

“Right now, I don’t know exactly my motivation, because it’s hard to find it when you’ve done such a big thing. But I know the players and I know myself, and when we come out here, we say: “Why not try to win today? Why not do as well as possible what we need to do?” And I know we’re going to try.”

“The reality is that I’m closer to leaving than staying. We talked about it with the club — my feeling is that now I want to stay. I will stay for the next season, and during the next season we will talk. But eight or nine years… We’ll see. I didn’t expect to stay for eight or nine years. I expected three, four or five, but no more. I can’t believe it. This is the Premier League. The hardest league,” Guardiola was quoted as saying by The Independent.
