Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta expressed confidence that one day his team will win the Premier League if they continue to try their best.
Finally, with a strong-willed 2-1 victory over Everton, Arsenal finished the 2023/24 Premier League season with 89 points, but this was not enough to get ahead of Manchester City.
Arteta wants his team not to despair, but to show even greater desire for the Premier League title. And then, Mikel is sure, the Gunners will be rewarded for their perseverance.
“First of all, congratulations to Manchester City on winning the Premier League.”
“There were mixed emotions today. First of all, I am very proud of the staff and these players. They did an incredible job and they tried to every limit and to every drop to win the Premier League.”
“Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough, and we couldn’t get the prize we wanted. City took him away from us, this is the second season.”
“There is only one way to achieve what you want — you need to be more purposeful, you need to be more ambitious, you need to be bolder and try your best. This is our next step.”
“If we do what we have to do, then we will get closer and eventually win the Premier League. When? I do not know, but if we keep knocking and being so close, eventually it will happen,” Sky Sports quoted Arteta as saying.
