Manchester City striker Erling Holand has won the Premier League Golden Boot for the second consecutive season.
Holand failed to distinguish himself in the match of the final round of the Premier League against West Ham, but this did not prevent City from winning 3-1 and securing a fourth championship in a row.
Holand still finished at the top of the scoring race with 27 goals — five more than his closest pursuer in the person of Cole Palmer from Chelsea.
It should be noted that last season Holand won the Golden Boot with an impressive 36 goals.
The 23-year—old Norwegian is only the fifth player in history to become the Premier League’s top scorer two seasons in a row.
“Winning the Golden Boot again is a very special moment for me. I am so proud of my contribution to helping this incredible team and my amazing partners.”
“I have to thank all my teammates for helping me win this award, as well as the coaches and staff who worked so hard.”
“And also thank you, the fans who supported me so much. I always enjoy celebrating goals in front of you!” — Holand is quoted by the official website of the Premier League.
