Moises Caicedo’s goal from 50 meters helped Chelsea defeat Bournemouth 2-1 and qualify for European competitions.
Chelsea managed to open the scoring already in the 17th minute, when Moises Caicedo from the center line of the field threw the ball behind the goalkeeper’s collar — 1-0.
The second half began with Raheem Sterling hitting the near corner of the goal with a shot from the edge of the goalkeeper’s area — 2-0.
However, almost immediately Bournemouth scored one goal. Enes Unal took the ball in the penalty area, easily got away from the tutelage of Marc Cucurella and shot with a rebound from Benoit Badiashile — 2:1.
Thanks to this victory, Chelsea guaranteed themselves entry into European competitions. Previously, the Blues will participate in the Europa League, but will drop into the Conference League if Manchester United defeats Manchester City in the FA Cup final.
