Real Madrid are thinking about acquiring midfielder Alexis McAllister, whose contract with Liverpool contains a buyout clause.
Last summer, Liverpool activated a 35 million pound buyout clause in McAllister’s contract with Brighton.
According to the Argentine radio station DSports Radio, there is a similar clause in Alexis’ five-year agreement with Liverpool, and the amount of compensation is about 60 million pounds.
It is claimed that Real Madrid is aware of the existence of the relevant clause and intends to use it over the next year to get the 25-year-old player of the Argentine national team.
Real Madrid is expected to say goodbye to 38-year-old Luka Modric and 34-year-old Toni Kroos at the end of this season, so Carlo Ancelotti’s team is in search of strengthening the midfield.
McAllister has played 32 Premier League games for Liverpool this season, scoring four goals and providing five assists. However, in recent weeks, Alexis has been experiencing a certain decline and does not perform effective actions from his goal against Sheffield United on April 4.
