Newcastle want to make Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale their first acquisition in the summer transfer window.
Ramsdale started this season as Arsenal’s number one, but soon found himself behind David Raya, whom the Gunners are buying out from Brentford after the lease ends.
The 26-year-old Englishman is not going to put up with the role of a reserve goalkeeper and is expected to try to find a new home for himself next summer.
According to The Telegraph, Newcastle is ready to pay about 15 million pounds to Arsenal for Ramsdale, offering Aaron himself a five-year contract.
Ramsdale responded to this publication with the phrase “this is news to me” on Twitter, but the source insists that Newcastle are already working on Aaron’s transfer.
Let’s add that it was Newcastle coach Eddie Howe who acquired Ramsdale when he coached Bournemouth.
