The vote to scrap the VAR system in the Premier League from next season is almost certain to fail.
Yesterday it became known that Wolverhampton had proposed to put the issue of waiving VAR to a vote during the annual meeting of Premier League clubs on June 6.
Citing several high—ranking sources at once, Sky Sports claims that this vote is doomed to failure – the wolves will not be able to collect the necessary 14 out of 20 votes.
Nevertheless, the very fact of the vote should put pressure on the Premier League and the referees to raise the standards of referees, which have had a lot of complaints this season.
