Arsenal have decided not to use their new home uniforms in the final round of the Premier League match against Everton.
Earlier on Thursday, Arsenal unveiled their new home uniforms from Adidas for the 2024/25 season, as many clubs traditionally do before the final round.
The press immediately reported that Mikel Arteta’s players would try on a new uniform against Everton next Sunday, but later it was clarified that this would not happen.
According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal have decided to use their old uniforms in the upcoming match at the Emirates because they still have a chance of winning the Premier League title, although for this the Gunners need Manchester City to misfire in a parallel match against West Ham.
The rules of the Premier League state that when using the new form, the club must give 14 days’ notice, but Arsenal deliberately did not do this. Perhaps it’s a matter of superstition, or perhaps the Gunners decided not to create discomfort for the players from unusual T-shirts, underpants and leggings.
