Premier League clubs will hold a vote on whether to abandon the VAR MTR system next season.
VAR was introduced in the Premier League back in 2019, but still causes huge complaints.
This season was no exception, being marred by a number of controversial incidents. Some teams, players and coaches believe that VAR jeopardizes the integrity of the competitive process.
According to The Athletic, the proposal to abandon VAR was put forward by Wolverhampton, and the vote will be held as part of the annual meeting of Premier League clubs on June 6.
To accept this idea, the votes of at least 14 of the 20 clubs in the division are required.
