Arsenal are showing serious interest in RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sheshko ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to The Telegraph, other clubs bidding for Sheshko consider Arsenal the favorite in the fight for the 20-year-old Slovenian national team player.
Strengthening the forward line is one of Arsenal’s priorities for the summer window, and at the moment the Gunners simply do not have a central striker like Sheshko, who has physical strength and height of 195 cm.
Sheshko only moved to Leipzig last summer,” having previously spent four years at the related Red Bull from Salzburg. Benjamin has scored 13 goals in 30 games this season in the German Bundesliga.
Now Sheshko is in excellent shape, scoring in each of the last six matches for RB Leipzig. Benjamin scored 11 times in 28 matches for his national team.
According to rumors, the compensation under Sheshko’s contract with RB Leipzig increased from 43 to 64 million pounds due to Benjamin’s success on the football field.
