Manchester United are considering the acquisition of Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins.
Watkins’ excellent form was the key to Aston Villa securing promotion to the Champions League at the end of this season. In the Premier League alone, Ollie scored 19 goals and provided 13 assists.
Last month, Roy Keane said that Watkins is good enough to play for a top-level team, and United is ready to heed the advice of his legend, according to talkSPORT.
The new United management believes that Watkins fits the profile of a proven scorer that the Red Devils want to acquire in the summer to help young Rasmus Heilund.
However, it will be extremely difficult for United to agree on the transfer of the 28-year-old England player, given that the devils themselves, unlike Villa, did not get into the Champions League.
