Pep Leinders, Jurgen Klopp’s assistant at Liverpool, has been appointed the new head coach of the Austrian Red Bull.
As you know, Klopp is leaving the position of Liverpool head coach at the end of the season, but Jurgen is not leaving alone, but along with his entire coaching staff.
And if Klopp is going to rest next season, then Leinders decided not to break away from football, but to try himself again as an independent specialist after a short and unsuccessful experience at NAC Breda in 2018.
Leinders’ contract with Red Bull is for three years, and the 41-year-old Dutchman will start working in Salzburg from the beginning of the pre-season period.
Leinders’ right-hand man at Red Bull will be 36-year-old Vitor Matusz, who is also leaving Liverpool at the end of the season.
