Manchester United coach Eric Ten Haag has expressed support for his striker Rasmus Heilund.
The other day, the Manchester Evening News published a story that United’s partners refuse to pass on Heilund, who cost the club 72 million pounds, near someone else’s gate.
At the moment, Heilund has not scored for 10 matches in a row, but Ten Hag positively evaluates Rasmus’ debut season for United and believes that the 21-year-old Dane will soon break his scoring drought.
“He has suffered three injuries this season, but still, as you said, he scored 14 goals. I think this is a very good indicator for a young player. When we decided to invite him, we bought a player for this season and for the future.”
“He has to develop, he has to progress, and he needs time. Sometimes you have ups and downs. He couldn’t score his first Premier League goal before winter, but he has a very strong character.”
“He is very energetic in every match, so his return to form can happen in any match. I’m sure he’s close,” Ten Haga was quoted as saying by the Evening Standard.
