Manchester City manager Josep Guardiola has called on his team to use the “special” opportunity to win four Premier League titles in a row.
At the moment, only two wins separate City from the title, which no one has ever managed to win four times in a row before.
On the eve of his trip to Tottenham, Guardiola addressed his players and urged them to focus on achieving the goal.
“We know what we are playing for and how difficult it can be there. But we are ready, and there is something special in front of us.”
“We have to show our best side in everything. We need to strain ourselves and focus in the right way.”
“If we play these matches relaxed, it will be a big problem. It may be that Tottenham will play to get into the Champions League, and this is also a huge goal.”
“To achieve what no other team has ever achieved, we need to do something exceptional. No one has achieved this in the Premier League yet, and we must achieve it first.”
“This will be the first time. Otherwise Arsenal will become the champion. We just need to tune in to what is needed to win matches. You need to focus on your work and not be distracted by everything else. Everyone already knows what we are playing for,” Guardiola was quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.
