Manchester City coxswain Josep Guardiola has noted the transformation of defender Josko Guardiola over the course of this season.
Last summer, City acquired Guardiola from RB Leipzig for 78 million pounds, and Yoshko’s adaptation to the Premier League was very difficult.
However, over time, Guardiol got used to it and turned into a real scoring machine, scoring five times for his club, taking into account all competitions in 2024 — the most among the defenders of the Premier League teams.
The way the 22-year-old Croatian has built up his self-confidence and increased his importance to the team is truly impressive to Guardiola.
“Confidence plays a crucial role in life. To spend your first season in the Premier League when you are 21 years old… I would say it’s not easy to handle, and it was a little difficult for him at first.”
“He joined the team that made the treble, and at first he was a little shy. He felt a little: “I don’t want to disrupt their entire structure that they have.” It was only a matter of time. He came here for many, many years, and he proves to himself that he is capable of playing for us,” Guardiola was quoted as saying by The Guardian.
