Liverpool are interested in acquiring Newcastle flanker Anthony Gordon.
The 23-year-old Gordon only joined Newcastle in January 2023, having moved from Everton for 45 million pounds.
Gordon is one of Eddie Howe’s best players this season, scoring 10 goals and providing 10 assists in the Premier League, and Anthony is expected to be included in the England squad for Euro 2024.
With his consistently effective play on the flank, Gordon has attracted the attention of Liverpool scouts, who are making up a shortlist of goals for the first transfer window after Jurgen Klopp’s departure.
It is expected that the difficult situation with compliance with the rules of the financial fair play of the Premier League will force Newcastle to sell one or two leading players in the summer, and Liverpool is ready to take advantage of this, the Daily Star reports.
Despite the fact that Gordon is a pupil of Everton, Anthony has been rooting for Liverpool since childhood and studied at the Reds academy until the age of 11.
