Crystal Palace head coach Oliver Glasner will remain at Selhurst Park despite interest from Bayern Munich.
Bayern are still looking for a replacement for their coach Thomas Tuchel, who is leaving the club at the end of the season, and the Bundesliga grandee recently indicated his interest in Glasner.
Bayern’s sporting director Christoph Freund is in a close relationship with Glasner, but Palace ruled out parting with the 49-year-old Austrian.
According to Sky Sports, Glasner will not enter into negotiations with Bayern Munich about a vacancy at the Allianz Arena. Oliver is happy at Palace, where he is doing great.
Glasner took charge of Palace only in February, signing a contract until June 2026, and in such a short time transformed a team that was boring with its game under Roy Hodgson.
Earlier on Saturday, Palace beat Wolverhampton 1-3 on the road, registering their fifth victory in the last six Premier League matches. Thanks to this breakthrough, the Eagles have risen to 12th place and can still finish in the top half of the table.
Let’s add that since Glasner’s first match in February, only Manchester City (9 wins, 29 points) and Arsenal (9 wins, 28 points) have won more victories and scored more points in the Premier League than Palace (six wins, 21 points).
