Manchester City coxswain Josep Guardiola is pleased that his team defeated Fulham and retained the initiative in the Premier League title race.
On Saturday, City crushed Fulham 0-4, and now, before the end of the season, the citizens have to play against Tottenham away and West Ham at home.
Any misfire in these two remaining matches could be fraught with a missed title for City, but Guardiola and his players feel comfortable under such pressure.
“Ever since Arsenal lost to Aston Villa, our fate is in our hands.”
“We want the fate to still be in our hands in the final match against West Ham. It will be difficult, but we are ready for this challenge.”
“My players like to play under pressure, they are used to it. The players are enjoying this feeling.”
“Everything is the same this season – we don’t think about anything else except the next match. Our focus is on winning the next match and then we’ll see. We will go to London (on Tuesday) to try to win,” Guardiola was quoted as saying by The Independent.
