Александер Исак и Бруно Гимараэс Newcastle coach Eddie Howe is confident that his club will retain midfielder Bruno Guimaraes and striker Alexander Isak.

According to rumors, Isak is Arsenal’s priority target to strengthen the attack, while Guimaraes is being wooed by various top clubs, including Manchester City and PSG.

Howe admits Newcastle are under pressure from the Premier League’s financial fair play rules, but still expects both key players to remain at St Jays Park.

“I do not know why there is so much news that our players will be targets for other clubs. I’m making plans based on the fact that they (Guimaraes and Isak) will be here. All my plans imply that they will be part of the team. We want to create a team, a really successful team, so we don’t want to sell our best players. This is of great importance to us, because selling such players would set us back significantly and we would have to start over.”

“It’s not like the club has a weak spot that will force us to sell anyone. Yes, there are rules of financial fair play, and we have to follow them like anyone else. That’s why I said it’s very difficult to make predictions for this summer. However, no one at this football club has the desire to sell our best players,” Howe is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.
