Manchester United midfielder Mason Mount will miss the Premier League match against Arsenal on Sunday due to another injury.
Mount, who was bought from Chelsea last summer for 60 million pounds, has been suffering from health problems all season, having made only five appearances in United’s starting line-up in the Premier League.
Last Monday, when United lost 4-0 to Crystal Palace, the 25-year-old Englishman started for United for the first time since October in the Premier League, but now Mason is returning to the infirmary.
“Unfortunately, Mason Mount was out of action yesterday, so he won’t play on Sunday.”
“Some players returned to the training field today: Bruno (Fernandes) and Scott McTominay. Lica (Lisandro Martinez) came up to me and said he wanted to play against Arsenal, but he’s not ready yet, although he desperately wants to play. He needs a little more time to complete the recovery process. It’s the same with Raphael Varane. Luke Shaw had a relapse in his trial, but there is still hope and he will fight.”
“I will never risk a player. Talking about their future and their careers is the most important thing. And also the club.”
“Rashy (Rashford) also trained this morning and we’ll see how he feels. But he looks pretty good,” United head coach Eric Ten Haga was quoted as saying by The Athletic.
