Arsenal are thinking about the return of their former goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, who now represents Juventus.
It is expected that next summer Arsenal will say goodbye to Aaron Ramsdale, who started this season as the number one of the Gunners, but soon found himself behind David Raya.
The 25-year-old Ramsdale is unhappy with his situation and is not ready to put up with the role of a reserve goalkeeper, so he will try to find a new home in the summer transfer window. One of the options for Aaron is Newcastle.
According to talkSPORT, Arsenal are already preparing to part ways with Ramsdale, having compiled a shortlist of three goalkeepers to replace Aaron.
This list includes Szczesny, who played 181 games for Arsenal after breaking into the Gunners’ first team in the 2010/11 season.
Having fallen into disgrace with Arsene Wenger, then coaching Arsenal, Szczesny went on loan to Roma for two years, and in 2017 joined Juventus.
In addition to the 34-year-old Pole, the Gunners’ shortlist also includes Jason Steele from Brighton and Anthony Patterson from Sunderland.
