Arsenal have announced their plans to hold an open-top bus parade in the event of winning the Premier League title.
Two rounds before the end of the season, Arsenal are the leaders in the Premier League, but the Gunners’ advantage over Manchester City is only one point, and the Citizens have a match in reserve.
If Arsenal still wait for City to misfire and stay on top by the finish line, then on Monday, May 20, the day after the final round of the Premier League, they will hold a championship parade through the streets of London.
The event, which starts at 5 p.m. and ends at 8 p.m. local time, will include a performance by players from the podium near The Armoury club store at Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal fans reacted in a contradictory way to the plans announced by their club, given that City remain the leader in lost points, and the Gunners last won the Premier League in the 2003/04 season.
“We never learn. I’m not ready for ridicule if we don’t win the title,” one fan wrote on social media.
