Manchester United are considering the possibility of acquiring Juventus defender Gleison Bremer next summer.
According to talkSPORT, United plans to acquire two central defenders at once next summer, because Raphael Varane’s contract is expiring, and Victor Lindelof will be put up for transfer.
United are looking to strengthen their problematic position both in the Premier League and abroad. At the local market, the Red Devils are eyeing Jarrad Brantwaite from Everton and Tosin Adarabioyo from Fulham.
But United’s foreign target is Bremer, whom Juventus acquired two years ago from Torino for 42.5 million pounds to replace Matthijs De Ligt, who was sold to Bayern Munich.
In two seasons at Juventus, the 27-year-old Brazilian has played 80 matches and scored eight goals.
According to rumors, Bremer’s contract with the Serie A grandee provides for compensation of 51.5 million pounds, and if United is willing to pay that much, it greatly simplifies the transfer agreement.
