Chelsea are ready to renew their interest in Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.
Strengthening the last frontier is one of Chelsea’s priorities for the coming summer, and Jordan Pickford from Everton and Aaron Ramsdale from Arsenal were previously linked with a move to the Blues.
However, talkSPORT claims that Martinez is on Chelsea’s radar. The Blues wanted to get Emiliano last summer, but refused to pay a lot of money.
The acquisition of Martinez, the winner of the World Cup in Qatar with the Argentine national team, is supported by Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino, who is a compatriot of the first number of Villa.
Villa recently reported a loss of 119.6 million pounds last season, so the rules of the financial fair play of the Premier League may force the Birmingham club to sell the 31-year-old Martinez.
