Chelsea have reached an oral agreement with Palmeiras winger Estevao Willian.
Chelsea have yet to put the agreements reached on paper, as well as agree compensation with Palmeiras, but now the Blues can be considered the clear favorite in the fight for the 17-year-old Brazilian, who was also interested in Arsenal, Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano expects Chelsea to pay 32 million euros (27.5 million pounds) for Estevao, and another 25 million euros (21.5 million pounds) will be provided in the form of bonuses.
Estevao, nicknamed “Messinho”, made his debut for Palmeiras only last season and has so far played only 16 matches at the adult level.
Estevao is expected to stay at Palmeiras until his 18th birthday and will join Chelsea in the summer of 2025 if a deal is concluded.
