England head coach Gareth Southgate has no plans to take Borussia Dortmund winger Jaydon Sancho to Euro 2024.
Having had no playing practice since September, in January, 24-year-old Sancho left Manchester United on loan to Borussia, where he gradually returned to his best form.
Sancho, 24, played a key role in Borussia reaching the Champions League final, showing excellent football in both semi-final matches against PSG.
However, the Daily Star claims that Southgate has no plans to include Sancho among the 26 players he can take to the tournament in Germany next summer.
Southgate has a scattering of talents among the flanking players and believes that the inclusion of a suddenly transformed Sancho in the application would be a threat to his long-term planning.
Only an abundance of injuries can force Southgate to change his mind. Gareth will have to form a final application by the weekend of June 8-9.
