Bayern Munich head coach Thomas Tuchel is Manchester United’s number one candidate to replace Eric Ten Hag.
Despite the fact that United are in real danger of not getting into European competitions next season through the Premier League, Ten Hag will not be fired until the FA Cup final.
United will make a final decision on Ten Hag only after the match against Manchester City at Wembley on May 25, but with such a terrible game as during the trip to Crystal Palace last Monday, it will be difficult for Eric to keep his job.
According to i News, the new management of United, led by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, considers Tuchel the most preferred candidate if Ten Hag still leaves his post.
Tuchel himself is leaving Bayern Munich at the end of the season, which means he will be available without any compensation. Thomas feels he has unfinished business in the Premier League after his hasty dismissal from Chelsea in September 2022.
United are considering Ruben Amorim, whose contract with Sporting provides for an impressive compensation of 13 million pounds, and Graham Potter, whose candidacy is supported by his former Brighton colleague Dan Ashworth, whom the Red Devils want to see as their sporting director, as backup options.
