Jose Mourinho would be happy to return to the position of head coach of Manchester United.
Earlier in his career, Mourinho coached United from 2016 to 2018, winning the League Cup and the Europa League in his first season at Old Trafford.
In the third season under Mourinho, the atmosphere at United became so toxic that the Red Devils showed Jose the door in December and turned to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Since then, Mourinho has worked at Tottenham and Roma, which fired him in January.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Mourinho told his entourage that he would gladly return to United, whose new co-owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, is a friend of Jose.
The problem for Mourinho is that United don’t want to offer him a job. Jose himself does not expect his former club to call him back.
