Chelsea defender Thiago Silva has agreed his move to Brazilian Fluminense.
Silva confirmed last week that his contract with Chelsea, which expires at the end of the season, will not be extended.
Tiago was wooed to various clubs in Europe and the Premier League. It was even claimed that the 39-year-old Brazilian has two offers from London teams on his hands.
However, Silva chose to return to his homeland and join Fluminense as a free agent, in whose academy he studied and who helped him restart his career after a nightmarish period at Dynamo Moscow.
In an official statement, Fluminense reports that Silva signed a two-year contract and took the troika as a playing number.
Silva has been playing for Chelsea since 2020, winning the Champions League, the European Super Cup and the World Club Championship with the Blues.
