Liverpool captain Virgil Van Dijk has confirmed that he wants to be part of the “transition process” that awaits his club in connection with the change of head coach.
At the end of this season, Liverpool says goodbye to Jurgen Klopp, who should be replaced by Arne Slot from Feyenoord.
Despite the fact that only one year remains from Van Dijk’s contract, and earlier the press speculated about Virgil’s departure, the 32-year-old Dutchman is ready to help his compatriot rebuild Liverpool.
“There is a big transition coming, and I am a part of it. I think the club is very busy with the question of who will become the new head coach, and that is the main focus.”
“As I said before, I am very happy here, I love the club, and you can see that. Liverpool is already a big part of my life, and that’s all I can say,” Van Dijk was quoted as saying by the BBC.
