Sporting head coach Ruben Amorim has confirmed that he will not take up a job in the Premier League next summer.
On the eve of “Sporting” ahead of schedule issued the championship in the Portuguese championship. This is the second title of the Lisbon club under Amorim after the 2020/21 season.
In previous weeks, Amorim had been linked with jobs at Liverpool, West Ham and Chelsea, with Ruben even flying to London for talks.
However, the 39-year-old Portuguese has changed his mind about leaving Sporting and is already thinking about defending the title next season.
“I’m staying at Sporting. I have a contract and this is a special moment for me, for the club.”
“Now we have to try to win the third title together. Let’s make it happen,” journalist Fabrizio Romano quotes Amorim as saying.
