Feyenoord head coach Arne Slot admitted that he would like to talk to Jurgen Klopp, whose replacement he will have to become at Liverpool.
At the moment, only formalities separate Slots from the official appointment of the next Liverpool coach, who has already agreed compensation for Arne with Feyenoord.
At his press conference on Friday, Klopp said he would be happy to talk to his successor and Slot wants to take advantage of this opportunity.
“I think it’s normal when you move to a new club and get in touch with their current coach.”
“I did it at Feyenoord as well. It’s normal that you turn to the knowledge of someone who has worked at the club for several years — or nine, as in this case. Besides that, I know his assistant, Pep Leinders, pretty well. If there is an official confirmation, it will be strange if I don’t call him.”
“A 4-2 victory over Tottenham? This match was not broadcast here. I didn’t see much, but I saw the first goal and it was wonderful. It was a good win for Liverpool. If official confirmation arrives, and I know 100 percent that I will go there, I will watch not only this match, but also many others,” the Daily Mail quotes Slot.
