Manchester United have announced that defender Harry Maguire will miss about three weeks with a muscle injury.
Maguire has played regularly for United in recent weeks, making the starting line-up for each of the last six matches.
However, Harry was injured in training this week, and now the 31-year-old Englishman will miss United’s remaining Premier League matches against Crystal Palace, Arsenal, Newcastle and Brighton.
United’s three-week deadline means Maguire is also seriously at risk of missing the FA Cup final against Manchester City on May 25.
Finally, Maguire’s injury promises to be a headache for England coach Gareth Southgate, who will announce a bid for Euro 2024 after the end of the Premier League season.
