Liverpool are hoping for assistant coach Pep Leinders to return to the club at some stage in the future.
Leinders has previously confirmed that he will leave Liverpool at the end of the season, along with his boss Jurgen Klopp.
But if Klopp is going to take a break from football for at least a year, then Leinders is expected to try to prove himself as an independent specialist.
According to the Daily Mirror, Leinders will not join the coaching staff of his compatriot Arne Slot, who is supposed to replace Klopp, however, Liverpool have a high opinion of Pep and hope one day to return the 41-year-old Dutchman in some role.
Let’s add that in previous months, Leinders was associated with work at Ajax and Besiktas.
