West Ham midfielder Calvin Phillips is in danger of not playing this season due to injury.
Having joined West Ham on loan from Manchester City in January, the 28-year-old Phillips managed to play only 10 matches for David Moyes’ team, including eight in the Premier League.
According to The Athletic, the question is currently being decided whether Phillips will return to City ahead of schedule for treatment. The nature of Calvin’s injury is unknown.
West Ham have three matches left until the end of the season, but Phillips would not have played against City on May 19 anyway due to the terms of his lease.
In the matches that Phillips played for West Ham, Calvin showed poor football, and the injury will only worsen his chances of getting into the England squad for Euro 2024.
