Feyenoord coach Arne Slot said he did not know when his transfer to Liverpool would be officially confirmed.
Last month, it became known that Liverpool had identified Slot as their number one candidate to replace Jurgen Klopp, who is leaving the Merseyside club at the end of the season.
Since then, Slot has openly expressed his desire to lead Liverpool, and the press reported that the Reds had agreed with Feyenoord on compensation for the 45-year-old Dutchman.
Anyway, at the moment the Slot is focused on Feyenoord, although he believes that the job at Liverpool will not go away from him.
“Nothing has been officially confirmed yet. I’m sitting here with the Feyenoord logo on my chest, so basically the idea is that everything should be dedicated to Feyenoord.
“I have already said before that I am confident in concluding a deal. I do not know when this will happen. But I expect that an agreement will be reached,” the Evening Standard quotes the Slot.
