Sky Sports expert Gary Neville said it would be “madness” for Chelsea to sack their head coach Mauricio Pochettino at the end of the season.
Pochettino’s debut season at Chelsea is turning out to be extremely difficult. The Blues no longer have a chance at trophies, but they can still get into European competitions.
After Chelsea defeated Tottenham 2-0, Neville delivered his verdict on Pochettino and warned the Blues against making a mistake.
“They have been saying for a month or so that Pochettino is under real pressure. But I think it would be crazy to change a coach whose quality of work with such players is well known.”
“It is much more important for them to find stability after the next transfer window than to invite someone else and hope that he will do this job better. Changing a coach doesn’t feel like the right thing to do.”
“He is a proven coach. One of the best coaches in the Premier League for the last five, six, seven years.”
“Pochettino has had his ups and downs this season. But he’s good,” Neville told Sky Sports.
