Metro Person $10,000 Richer with Winning Mega Millions Ticket
ATLANTA – A lucky Metro person is $10,000 richer after matching four of the five white ball numbers in the latest Mega Millions drawing. The winning ticket was purchased at the Kroger on Peachtree Dunwoody Road in Sandy Springs. It matched the numbers 18, 30, 39, 59, and 63, but missed the Mega Ball number. The lucky winner has not yet come forward, but Georgia Lottery officials urge all players to check their tickets carefully. “This is an exciting win for someone in our community,” said Georgia Lottery President and CEO Gretchen Corbin. “We encourage all players to check their tickets, and we hope the winner comes forward soon to claim their prize.” The Mega Millions jackpot is currently estimated at $26 million. The next drawing will be held on Friday, March 10. The winning ticket is the second major lottery prize won in Georgia this month. On March 1, a Suwanee woman won a $1 million prize in the Georgia Lottery’s Powerball drawing. Lottery officials remind players that the proceeds from ticket sales go towards supporting education in Georgia. The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 302.6 million.
