Midlands Sinn Féin TD, Matt Carthy, has announced that he has delivered on his promise to secure funding for the construction of affordable homes in the region. “I am delighted to announce that we have secured €10 million in funding for the development of 60 affordable homes in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath,” Carthy said. “These homes will be available to purchase for under €300,000, making them within reach for many families and individuals who are struggling to find affordable housing in the current market.” The homes will be built on a site at Cornamaddy, Mullingar, and will comprise a mix of two-, three- and four-bedroom properties. The development will also include public open space and a community center.
