Director Killed, Doctor Injured in Head-on Collision Near Gua Musang

– A tragic head-on collision near Gua Musang on Saturday has claimed the life of a director and left a doctor seriously injured. The accident occurred at around 4.30pm at Kilometer 55 Jalan Gua Musang-Kuala Krai, involving a Toyota Hilux and a Perodua Axia. According to witnesses, the Toyota Hilux, driven by the late director, 37-year-old Wan Ismail Wan Hassan, was heading towards Gua Musang when it collided head-on with the Perodua Axia, driven by 28-year-old Dr. Nurul Nabila Azmi, who was traveling in the opposite direction. The impact of the collision was so severe that both drivers were trapped inside their vehicles. Wan Ismail died at the scene, while Dr. Nurul Nabila sustained multiple injuries and was rushed to the Gua Musang Hospital. Dr. Nurul Nabila is currently in stable condition but is being monitored closely by medical staff. The cause of the accident is still under investigation. Wan Ismail was a director of a local construction firm and is survived by his wife and three children. He was known for his dedication to his work and his love for his family. Dr. Nurul Nabila is a junior doctor at the Gua Musang Hospital and is well-respected by her colleagues and patients. She is known for her compassion and her dedication to her profession. GUA MUSANG: A school director was killed and a doctor was injured in a head-on collision between a car and a lorry near Kampung Renok, Gua Musang, today. Gua Musang district police chief Supt Sik Choon Foo said the accident occurred at 11.40am when the car, driven by the director, was heading towards Gua Musang from Kuala Krai. He said the lorry, which was travelling in the opposite direction, is believed to have lost control and veered into the opposite lane, causing the collision. “The impact of the collision caused the car to be badly damaged, while the lorry overturned by the roadside,” he said in a statement, adding that the director was pronounced dead at the scene. Sik said the doctor, who was a passenger in the car, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the Gua Musang Hospital for treatment. The lorry driver, meanwhile, escaped with minor injuries. The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. Sik urged road users to always be cautious and adhere to traffic regulations to prevent such incidents from occurring.
